Useful Mental Health Services

SHOUT

Text 'SHOUT' to 85258. It's a texting service that is there to provide you with 24/7 confidential support when you're in a time of crisis or immediate help. It is a real person that you're texting and they are there to support and listen to you (I've used this service a lot and find it very helpful)

The Samaritans

Call 116123. You can talk to them about anything that is upsetting you. Sometimes just hearing someones voice can help calm you down in a time of need and that's what each person on the other end of the phone is trained to do, to be someone you can talk to and someone who will listen to what you have to say.

SANEline

Call 03003047000 available everyday between 4:30pm-10:30pm. This is for people experiencing a mental health problem or even if you are supporting someone with a mental health problem, they can help you.

National Suicide Prevention Hotline

Call 08006895652 between 6pm-3:30am. They offer a supportive listening service to anyone with thoughts of suicide. It is confidential for those over 18.

Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM)

Call 0800585858 5pm-midnight. If you feel like you are struggling and need support, they are there. If you prefer not to speak on the phone then they have a CALM web chat service online you can visit www.thecalmzone.net

Papyrus - HopelineUK

Call 08000684141 or text 07860039967 from 9am-midnight. Hopeline provide a safe space for children and young adults under 35 to talk about your current problems and talk through anything that's happening in your life that could be impacting your ability to stay safe.
